Using Fixture Editor offline

The Fixture Editor is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it is cached as soon as you visit https://fixture-editor.showsync.com/ and available to use even when you are offline. You can even install it as a desktop app.

Installation

macOS

1. Visit https://fixture-editor.showsync.com in Safari.
2. Go to File > Add to Dock...
3. Optionally, give the app a name (by default this is Fixture Editor) and click Add.
4. The Fixture Editor will now appear as an icon in your Dock and can be launched like any other application.
5. Launch the Fixture Editor. Once the Beam Fixture Editor is now ready to work offline. message appears, you no longer need an internet connection to use the app.

Windows

1. Visit https://fixture-editor.showsync.com in Microsoft Edge or Chrome.
2. Look for the install icon + in the address bar.
3. Click Install and follow the prompts.
4. The Fixture Editor will install as a standalone application and can be launched like any other application.
5. Launch the Fixture Editor. Once the Beam Fixture Editor is now ready to work offline. message appears, you no longer need an internet connection to use the app.

Updates

The Fixture Editor will automatically check for updates when you open it. If an update is available, you will be prompted to refresh the application to apply the update.
