New features

Fixture Editor

Beam 1.1.0 introduces a new Fixture Editor, allowing you to easily edit and create new fixture files. You can find the Fixture Editor in the Window menu item.

Beam File Extensions

Beam patches are now saved with the sbp extension. Fixtures have the sbf extension. Double-clicking these files in Finder now opens them in Beam immediately. Existing JSON files are still fully compatible.

Network support

Like Videosync, Beam can run on a different computer and connect to your Ableton Live set over a network. Simply open the Preferences and enter the IP address of the computer that runs Ableton Live.

Other

  • Improvements for handling the white channel in RGBW fixtures.
  • When adding a fixture to a patch, all already existing tags are visible in the tag chooser.

Fixes

  • HTP merge mode would not always return the highest value.
  • High End Studio Color 575: merge colors using the weighted average merge mode.
  • Unknown modulations are handled as additive merge modes.
  • Slots are supported for sixteen-bit attributes.
